Juan Carlos Zúñiga

Juan Carlos is a veteran EPI team member, having worked as an instructor in both Costa Rica and Mexico, and then moving to his current role as Field Program and Outreach Facilitator in Costa Rica in 2014. Originally from San Josè, Costa Rica, his academic background includes studies in biology at the University of Costa Rica where he also worked as a research assistant and lab instructor. He then completed his master’s degree in sustainable management of aquatic ecosystems in Finland. A passion for travel has taken him to several countries in North and South America, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Juan Carlos enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, snorkeling, and diving.
